Two-day online workshop was realised to follow up on the high-priority issues identified by regional participants in the 2019 IRENA AVRIL workshop and to align IRENA’s efforts with the ongoing efforts towards establishment of a regional North African masterplan.

This event explored how governments can effectively design measures in the post-COVID era and how to ensure that these distinct policy fields form a coherent whole to bring about a just and inclusive transition for all.

IRENA in collaboration with UK COP26 Presidency, has organized a series of Regional Expert Meetings on Climate Change, Enhanced NDCs’ and Renewable Energy Deployment.

This webinar featured the launch of the platform and demonstrates how the tool has been utilised by homeowners, investors and project developers to assess the rooftop solar PV potential in areas such as Zhangjiakou, China; Castries, St Lucia; and Victoria, Seychelles; and Kasese, Uganda.

The event provided participants the opportunity to share experiences, lessons learned and best practices, and to explore modalities to enhance multisectoral cooperation.
